Pascale Neuschäfer is a cinematographer with a background in performance, having started her career as an actor specialising in dance and movement. She holds an MA in Cinematography from Goldsmiths, University of London, which informs her sensitivity to rhythm, physicality and performance.
Her work spans award-winning short films, documentaries, commercials, music videos, and long-form narrative. In 2023, her short documentary Tribe, which she directed and shot, received a SAFTA nomination for Best Documentary Short.
Her films have screened internationally at festivals including Hot Docs, BFI Flare, Encounters and Cinéma du Réel. She has collaborated with HBO, Showmax, Warner Bros., SABC and Canal+.
