Natalie had a childhood fascination with kaleidoscopes and cameras. Her architect father recognized and nurtured her passion for storytelling through film. Even from a young age, while others played games, Natalie was captivated by capturing the perfect frame bathed in ideal light, experimenting with an old 8mm camera.

In 2003, Natalie transitioned from her foundational love of cinematography to directing, focusing primarily on narrative film and drama. Over the span of more than two decades, Natalie has honed her two crafts through on-location, single-camera shoots, earning recognition and accolades across various genres within the film industry.

Her personal achievements include prestigious awards such as a SAFTA award, an Avanti, an SASC Visual Spectrum award and International EMMY nominations.

Particularly notable is Natalie’s distinctive approach to documentaries, which has garnered the films she shot a BAFTA award and nomination, International EMMY nominations, a One World Media award, and accolades from the Washington DC Independent Film Festival and San Francisco Black Film Festival, among others.
