Bradley Devine is a man that keeps things pure and fresh all the time; even his perspective on cinematography is refreshing. Bradley studied at AFDA with the aim of being a producer. He was however enthralled by the role of a cinematographer while in 1st year. He quickly realised that’s where he wanted to be, and hasn’t looked back since.. He went on to win the award for best cinematographer in both his 3rd and 4th year, and began forging a career as a DOP.
Bradley is something of a modern day Leonardo Da Vinci. His work and creativity is deeply influenced by everyday things; light reflecting off a glass building in traffic or the description of a morning scene in a book.
But don’t take my word for it, check out his work and see for yourself. Throughout the years he has gained a considerable amount of skills; his secret…staying humble and always open to learning new things. 12 years on from film school and he still gets very excited about a job. He loves playing filmmaker and has a particular fondness for lighting, the toys are also very cool. Every job he gets, feels like a first… he pushes himself to perform at his ultimate.
I guess that’s why he is so popular and loved in the field. He goes far and beyond what is expected to get the job done. He respects the role of the DOP and brings a bag load of fresh ideas to every set. You’ll enjoy having him around, great to work with and very efficient.
